So, I'm all excited about this new format for writing on Friday. Can't wait to put some more stuff in mah blog, I sing to myself. Saturday and Sunday come and go. I'm way too busy vaccuming and giving my dog a bath to add anything over the weekend. Now, here it is almost 11:00 am and I still don't feel like doing it. Guess it comes from having a tiny hangover and wanting to be anywhere but here right now. Here, of course, would be work. Nothing I like more than to come to work on a Monday morning feeling all tired ass.
Ever have one of the those people in the building where you work who NEVER says hello or excuse me or makes eye contact? I suppose it's the uptight environment that I work in but geez. I've tried saying hello or whatever and she always looks at me like I just burped the alphabet out loud. I almost cracked my head on the bathroom stall door avoiding her sneer. I think I'm going to give up on her. I'll save my hello's for someone more deserving.
So, I'm thinking of using this web log as a forum for daily thoughts or whatever. Think I'm going to start out by using it as a journal. I've always wanted to keep a journal. I've bought the cute little books to try and write my thoughts down. Never works. I have maybe 3 or 4 entries but it never lasts. I end up tearing those pages out, throwing them away and using the book to make grocery lists or write my upcoming bills down. I guess we'll see how long this lasts. Thinking about using this blog to post other writings and things, too. Maybe put up my old movie reviews. Used to do them about a million years ago for my friends on AOL. Haven't read them in awhile. May check them out again and post them. Maybe I'll even do new ones.
And, speaking of movies, if you haven't seen "Monster" then I suggest you run, not walk, your ass over to the theater right now and see it. The only excuse I would accept is that it's not playing near you. I think it's in limited release right now. We saw it on Saturday and Charlize Theron's performance was the best I've seen by anyone in a long time. I think Hillary Swank was very good in "Boys Don't Cry" but this is even better. Charlize won Best Actress in a drama (I think) at the Golden Globes last night. So hard to keep up with all of their categories. And, what's up with this show called "The Office" that's on BBC America? I mean, I know it's the Foreign Press that gives out the Globes but who watches that show? Maybe people do and I just don't know about it. But, wait, back to Charlize, I'm telling you, go see that movie. She's awesome. And, if she doesn't win the Oscar, I'm writing a letter.
Like how I'm writing these entries like someone's actually reading them?

my first phat post
Wow, what to type on my first entry of my new blog?! Do I type that my mom just IM'd me and scare the bejeebies out of me?! I had all these great ideas and now my mind is a blank. Uh oh. Topic of conversation coming -- mom wants to know which Democratic candidate I'd vote for. Is that a loaded question or what? We don't often talk politics but I think it's an interesting question. Although, frankly, it's a little too early in the race for me to be getting excited about anyone. I was a little disturbed by Dean's concession speech in Iowa the other day. Glad to see he's making fun of himself on David Letterman, though. Who knows?
My first post, on my first blog. Wonder how the whole thing's going to turn out.
